Pound-for-pound fighter Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez is predicting a knockout victory in the seventh round, when he challenges WBC middleweight champion Julio Cιsar Chαvez Jr. on September 15th at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Chavez (46-0-1, 32KOs) and Martinez (49-2-2, 28KOs) have been predicting stoppage victories. Martinez is tired of the talk, he wants to damage Chavez Jr. for the numerous things that were hurled at the Argentine star by the champion's father.

"I know I will win by knockout in the seventh round. I'm going to leave everything in the ring for that to happen. The majority of my knockouts occur after the sixth. Experience is going to play a big role in the fight and at 37-years-old I have a lot of it. I'm going to regain the title that I had a year ago and a half ago," Martinez said.

OK Rox, some questions for you. Will Chavez make weight? Will he take and pass pre fight and post fight urine tests? Will team Chavez allow his gloves to be weighed? Will Chavez win on a crooked early stoppage? Will Chavez win on one of those Arum induced bad decisions? At least one (and probably...

[QUOTE=Boxing Bob]Given that team Chavez has been running from this fight for 2+ years, I don't even think this fight will happen. On the outside chance it does, look for Martinez to take advantage of his speed advantage and Jrs poor defence. Chavez will have his moments, but Martinez will be out...
