Matchroom have unveiled their latest signing in the shape of British and Commonwealth featherweight champion Lee Selby.

The 26-year-old was an impressive winner against Martin Lindsay on Matchroom's show in Belfast on February 9 in his second defence of the British strap.

Formerly a free agent, Selby will make his debut for Matchroom in Blackpool next month where another British champion and new signing, Brian Rose, will headline.

"Lee Selby will box on April 20 in Blackpool, where he will defend his British and Commonwealth titles before going to a show in Cardiff in June, where we'll do a double header with Gavin Rees," said promoter Eddie Hearn.

"He's a great talent Lee Selby and I'm sure he'll go on to be world champion."

Selby is the latest big name capture for Matchroom following the recent signings of Rose, George Groves and Ricky Burns.

He will be officially unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday lunchtime.
