Sechew Powell's Contact Purchased By Promoter Don King

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com has been advised that junior middleweight contender Sechew Powell's contract has been bought out by Don King Promotions. Powell had previously been promoted by Warriors Boxing.

Powell's advisor Greg Leon informed BoxingScene of the news and issued the following statement, "Don King is someone who I have a great deal of admiration and respect for. He is a boxing legend, DKP has been an institution in boxing for 40 years  and Sechew Powell looks forward to becoming the next boxer to capture a world title and million dollar purse under Don's prestigious banner."

Powell takes on IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage on June 25th in St Charles, MO.
Why? Powell will be the IBF champ on the 25th.
So then he'll sit around inactive for a year lose his belt for not defending it and sue Don King for stalling his career whoever sold his contract to King…
