Scott Happy Price Was KO'd, Says Chisora Could Go Early

Malik Scott says he’ll demolish Dereck Chisora this Saturday night in more devastating style than fellow countryman Tony Thompson who destroyed David Price.

Chisora clashes with his American rival at Wembley Arena with the Vacant WBO International Heavyweight title on the line, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546).

Price was smashed in five rounds by Thompson in the rematch earlier this month and Scott is confident he can bash the controversial Finchley puncher.

“I saw the fight between Thompson and Price and I knew that Thompson would do it again second time round, it was a great accomplishment, he’s a good, strong heavyweight,” Said Scott.

“I’ve sparred with Thompson before and I support any fighter who wears the Stars and Stripes and of course I was happy that he won,”

“Even if Thompson didn’t beat Price, I’m on my own path and I will beat Mr. Chisora in devastating style, it will be exciting and I’ll be looking to do a real good job him and it could be early.”

Scott’s Hall of Fame trainer Jesse Reid, who has trained 23 world champions including greats Johnny Tapia, Hector Camacho and Orlando Canizales, says his man is ready to take Chisora out.

“Malik’s in tremendous shape.  He’s my prize racehorse and he’s ready for Chisora,” Said Reid.

“His strongest assets are his speed, footwork and intelligence, he knows how to stay calm under pressure.  I’m more than confident that we’ve got the beating of Chisora,”

“I’ve trained many world champions in my 42 years in boxing and some of the biggest names in the sport, but a world heavyweight champion has eluded me, but I believe I’ve got one in Malik.”

Remaining tickets are available from Eventim on 0844 249 1000 or and Wembley Arena on 0844 815 0815 or

I didn't know that Scott was with Jesse Reid. Solid trainer right there.
