Shawn Porter's promoter insists the IBF champion is not 'worried' about Kell Brook after he defended his title with a ruthless stoppage of Paulie Malignaggi.

Porter took just four rounds to halt Malignaggi, who needed hospital treatment after he was floored twice in the welterweight clash in Washington.

His next fight will be against Brook, a mandatory challenger, and Porter must face the Sheffield man before July 19, according to an order by the IBF.

An unbeaten run of 32 fights has propelled 'Special K' up the rankings, but Golden Boy promoter Richard Schaefer does not believe he can threaten Porter's reign.

When asked about Brook, Schaefer said: "If he is next in line. If he is, then he is. We're not really worried about anybody."

Reflecting on a possible future venue for Porter, nicknamed 'Showtime', Schaefer suggested he could defend his title in Las Vegas.

"It's Showtime and I want to take Showtime to Las Vegas," he said. "It's my dream, but we haven't really talked about it. I always like to have these conversations with the athletes."

Brook was impressed with Porter's win, but remains confident he can rip away the world title in the summer.

He tweeted: "Great performance @ShowtimeShawnP lets see how you are with me! who is also a young lion!"
Easy work for porter he will stop kell brook late. Brook has fitness issues and drains himself making weight.
Porter is a one-dimensional fighter: doesn't have a clue when his bum-rushing tactic doesn't work. Don't expect it to against Brook.

I like Kell Brook, yet I'm struggling to make a case for him winning. Porter cuts the ring off brilliantly and although the Ingle style is all about movement etc - Kell's stamina issues will eventually show up and he will be in danger of getting caught by Porter's accurate, powerful hooks. As me...

That's absolutely crazy...he's getting like a 3 week break before he's gotta get back to camp. I don't agree with this date..at least say by mid august/early september...
