Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has no intention of waiting any longer. He wants to make a junior welterweight showdown between WBA/WBC champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) and mandatory challenger Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) on September 7th.

"We are not marinators. I am not into marinating stuff. That's another company, that's not us. I can tell you that when you have the best fight the best - there are no losers.  So if Garcia loses to Matthysse or Matthysse loses to Garcia - you know it's going to be a hell of a fight, because Lucas Matthysse...who can beat him? But Danny Garcia is one of the most underrated champions that we have [in boxing]. People doubt him in every fight and in every fight he delivers big. Never count Danny Garcia out," Schaefer told BoxingScene.com.

Schaefer says the probability of the fight coming off is very high.

"I would bet on it. If you asked me for my percentage, I would say 90-10 [that it happens]," Schaefer said.
Wow that shows you the confidence Golden Boooy has in Garcia if he steps up his competition level and fight Matthyse. Schafer says this is a fight Matthyse can win, and than follows it by saying Danny is the most underrated champion in boxing. He doesn't even say it's a fight...

The only thing that stood out about Matthyse vs Lamont was how horrible and timid Lamont looked....It looked like he was practically drugged/didn't want to be there or something...Nothing Lucas did impressed me at all...In fact he looked his typical crude sloppy. amateurish self. The only thing t...
Yeah that's true. I just want to be on the richest users list :lol1: there has to be one rich Garcia fan that would bet high on even odds.
Normally the guys that talk the loudest for the underdog, don't have s**t for points to put on it. Pisses me off. lol
