By Edward Chaykovsky

Scottish middleweight Craig McEwen will help prepare WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for his scheduled defense against Ryan Rhodes of England. McEwan has accepted an offer to enter Alvarez's camp as a sparring partner for a period of four weeks in Big Bear, California. Alvarez-Rhodes takes place on June 18 in Guadalajara, Mexico. McEwan recently suffered the first loss of his career, by knockout at the hands of Andy Lee. McEwan is a beast....good choice for a sparring partner. Hopefully things go well for McEwan @ 154. Theirs more talent and bigger names in that division anyways. Good move.
