Scottish middleweight Craig McEwen will help prepare WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for his scheduled defense against Ryan Rhodes of England. McEwan has accepted an offer to enter Alvarez's camp as a sparring partner for a period of four weeks in Big Bear, California. Alvarez-Rhodes takes place on June 18 in Guadalajara, Mexico. McEwan recently suffered the first loss of his career, by knockout at the hands of Andy Lee. The Scottish boxer is planning to cut weight for a planned run at 154.

McEwan is a beast....good choice for a sparring partner. Hopefully things go well for McEwan @ 154. Theirs more talent and bigger names in that division anyways. Good move.
