20-year-old Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has popped the big question to his stunning girlfriend Marisol González, a celebrity in her own right. The rising star asked her the big question and gave her a big engagement ring, which conflicts last week's reports that were floating around in Mexico about the couple splitting up. The couple had a private gather in Mecio where they broke the news to relatives, close friends and media. No wedding date has been announced but Alvarez says it will take place next year.
The young fighter is gaining celebrity status in the country with every move becoming front page press. He returns on December 4 in Mexico against IBO welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou.
