WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is planning to achieve two dreams in 2012. The first is to defeat former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The second goal is to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs) in September.

Saturday marks the second HBO pay-per-view where Canelo and Mayweather occupy the same event. Last September they were fighting in different venues as part of a split-site pay-per-view, and now they are being featured on the same card.

If Canelo defeats Mosley on Saturday, and Mayweather defeats WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto, the stage could be set for a September showdown.

"For me it was a dream fight with Mosley, and now if I win, I'll be happy to fulfill my ultimate dream, which is measure myself against Mayweather. But first Mayweather is going to jail for 90 days. I trust in God that everything goes well. I would be ready to fight with Floyd in September," Canelo said.
