The Forum, Los Angeles, California - Last night, IBF/IBO/WBA middleweight world champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32 KOs) retained his titles with a second round knockout of IBF mandatory challenger Dominic Wade (18-1, 12 KOs) before a crowd of over 16,000.

In the co-featured attraction, WBC flyweight world champion Roman 'Chocolatito' Gonzalez won a twelve round unanimous decision over McWilliams Arroyo. The outcome snapped Gonzalez's ten-fight knockout streak.

On most respectable pound-for-pound lists, Gonzalez is ranked at number one. Golovkin is usually listed within the top four positions. Not everyone agrees with Gonzalez's position as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Golovkin's trainer, Abel Sanchez, was asked for his opinion on the ongoing pound-for-pound debate - based on the recent performances of Golovkin and Gonzalez.

According to Sanchez, there is no doubt that Golovkin is the top pound-for-pound fighter in the sport.

"I think it's obvious who the pound-for-pound number one is. He did it again. I don't think there has been a fighter in any era, in any weight division, that has dominated his division on a championship level like Gennady is. He makes good fighters look amateurish," Sanchez said.

Golovkin and Gonzalez have co-headlined three cards in the last year. Saturday's event is likely their final paring for some time. Gonzalez is requesting to headline his own HBO televised cards, because he wants to raise his profile and wants to remove the label of being regarded as a co-featured attraction.
