Former two division champion Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez (51-3-2, 28KOs), who's enjoying some down time in Madrid, Spain, is still not in a tearing hurry to define his future, but there is a possibility he will have a farewell fight in his native Argentina.
"I hope I can travel to Spain in mid-July so Sergio can define his future. Meanwhile I don’t have any news on the subject, commented his advisor Sampson Lewkowicz.
Lewkowicz has worked closley with Martinez for eight years. He highlighted the intelligence of Martinez and stressed that Sergio doesn’t need any more money, so he could retire from boxing without any problem.
"Maravilla" at the moment is writing his second book in his Madrid home.
Last month Martinez lost his WBC middleweight title when Miguel Cotto stopped him at New York's Madison Square Garden.
