Sam Maxwell added to his undefeated record with a stoppage win.
The 28-year-old Commonwealth Games bronze medallist featured at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast.
Maxwell was on the BoxNation-televised bill topped by Paddy Barnes’ vacant WBO European flyweight title victory against Silvio Olteanu.
But despite not being shown live, the 28-year-old got the job done in double-quick time in against 25-year-old Bulgarian Angel Emilov.
‘Super Sam’ had his man down in the opening round before finishing the fight in the penultimate stanza of four under the watchful eye of coaches Georgie Vaughan and Joe McNally.
Maxwell, who was a late addition to the card and had an horrendous few days in the lead up to the fight in terms of opponent changes, will now be looking to remain active before pushing on towards titles by the end of the year.
“I feel like I am at title level but that I just need to get the rounds under my belt,” he said in an interview recently. “I’m confident that by the end of the year I’ll be knocking on the door for a title shot of some kind.
“I hope that MTK and Frank Warren can get me the fights that will keep me progressing and I want to be in a position by the end of the year where I'm challenging for or am at least close to shots at titles."
