| Salido Ready For War as Jhonny Gonzalez Talks Continue

By Miguel Rivera WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (38-11-2, 26KOs) is ready for war. Salido's promoter, Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions, has continued his unification discussions with promoter Reginaldo Kuchle, who handles WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (52-7, 45KOs). Last week, Kuchle made a lucrative offer to secure Salido. "Fernando stated that he received a call from Reginaldo Kuchle for the fight. He made me a offer to do the fight in September and we are negotiating the bout. These are the type of fan friendly fights that the people deserve...champion vs. champion," Salido said. For his part, Beltran stated - "I hope we can come to an agreement so Orlando can show that there is only one true featherweight champion of Mexico and that is Orlando "Siri" Salido." Hope Gonzalez dosen't pick Ponce over Salido. Golden Boy is offering more $ for Jhonny to fight De Leon for some reason. I think they want the winner to fight Adrien Broner. |

Nooo! I hate it when two Mexican champs fight. Even though they are wars, I don't know who to root. One will lose. I hope Broner has the gutz and fights either of them, Ponce already expised him. |
