Salido Confident of Downing Mikey Garcia as Fight Nears

After 5 weeks of training in Nogales, Sonora - WBO world featherweight champion  Orlando Salido is closing his preparation out with a final three weeks in his native Ciuda Obregon, as he prepares to meet official challenger Mikey Garcia at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York on January 19th. Salido (39-11-2, 27 KOs) vs. Garcia (30-0, 26 KO's) will be televised by HBO and TV Azteca in Mexico.

"We are ready and I'm in great shape. I feel very strong and the weight is no longer a factor, and we have it under control. Now is time to close the preparation in Oregon, with three weeks of hard work and we'll be reducing the intensity. It will be a great fight because 'Mikey' is a very tough fighter, but we are bringing the championship back to Mexico," said Salido.

"Garcia is a fighter on the rise, with great technique and speed, but I'll be ready for anything. I will have to attack and take care of his counter-attacks. My goal is to defend my title and to provide a great fight."

i got Mikey winning this but its a toss up fight, if Salido comes wreckless like he did in that fight (well like always) he might get Pacquiao'd

Garcia was beaten a few fights back and they robbed the guy. And in his last fight, Garcia did not look good and was easier to hit than ever. The way I see it, it ends brutally for Garcia by…

Salido is wild with his punches and gets lucky........but he follows thru......Danny on the other hand can pivot and uses great lateral movement........I see Salido getting knocked out by 8.......I love Salido for his destruction of JuanMa......but JuanMa got cancelled…
