Rubio: Chavez Jr., You Can Run But You Can't Hide

by Jhonny Gonzalez

Marco Antonio Rubio hopes to challenge Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for the WBC middleweight championship before the end of this year. Chavez will return on September 24 in Mexico and Rubio does not appear to be one of the options. In the WBC rankings, Rubio is sitting in the number one position. Chavez may also fight again on November 19, against Peter Manfredo Jr. Rubio is planning to return on September 3 in San Luis Potosi.

"Even though you are hiding from me, and even if you run, you will not be able to avoid me, because you have to remember that I am the mandatory challenger and you do not want to face me because you are fearful. It's only a matter of time before the clock runs out," Rubio said.
