Ruben Guerrero, father and trainer of Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero, contacted BoxingScene.com in a fury. Robert challenges Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) for the WBC welterweight title on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Apparently Ruben re-watched the first episode of "All Access: Mayweather vs. Guerrero" - and he took heavy offense after Mayweather's cutman/hand wrapping guru Rafael Garcia used tape to cross out Robert's face on a promotional poster. Garcia then made several throat slashing gestures.
The tension between the two camps is reaching a high level. Ruben already wants to face Floyd's father and trainer, Floyd Mayweather Sr., in a parking lot street fight. He now indicates that Robert's grandfather will be at the show and there could be some punches exchanged between him and Garcia.
"This guy is a piece of sh*t. He can cross out other fighters but not my son I'm not having that ese. He should just worry about wrapping Lil Floyd's fragile hands and not disrespect my son," Ruben shouted to BoxingScene.com.
"Miguel Diaz taught that guy everything he knows about boxing and but I see he didn't teach him some respect. My father will be at the fight and he will beat that guy down if he keeps talking, brother."
To retaliate, Ruben used tape to crossed out Garcia's portrait at the IBA gym in Las Vegas, where Robert is training for the fight.
