According to Russian promoter Vladimir Hryunov, former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (57-8, 40 KOs) hopes to land a shot at WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof "El Diablo" Wlodarczyk (49-2-1, 35 KOs).

Jones fought for the second time in Moscow last weekend, and won an easy twelve round decision over Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf. After the match, Jones called for an immediate shot at Wlodarczyk.

There were talks of Jones facing the Polish champion in 2012, and Jones tried setting it up by fighting in Poland last June, but he was barely able to beat then undefeated prospect Pawel Glazewski, and afterwards the mentions of a fight with Wlodarczyk had stopped.

Hryunov would love to stage that fight in Russia. Wlodarczyk himself fought in Moscow in June of this year, stopped undefeated Olympic gold medal winner Rakhim Chakhkiev in eight rounds.

I was hoping after Jones got a win he would retire on a winning note. Too bad he is going on.

OMG,if ROY fights DIABLO.....i'm really worried about ROY's health if he takes this fight. DIABLO has heavy hands and ROY can't take shots form a cruiserweight like DIABLO at this point of his carrer!!!

Wlodarczyk is one of those fighters Roy should avoid at all costs. Wlodarczyk is at the height of his career, and his power is scary. This fight will end fast in a Lebedev-Jones-esque KO...
