Former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. will help Khabib Allakhverdiev with his ongoing training for the upcoming clash with Adrien Broner. Khabib will travel to Broner's hometown of Cincinnati on October 3rd to challenge him for the vacant 'regular' WBA junior welterweight title.

Jones is currently in Moscow, Russia - where he is helping Khabib and the Chudinov brothers - Dmitry and Fedor. Jones made headlines when he recently met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and asked him for Russian citizenship.

Khabib (19-1, 9KOs) is very confident in his ability to stun Broner (30-2, 22KOs), a former three division world champion. Khabib has been out of the ring since losing what some felt was a controversial twelve round decision to Jessie Vargas on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley undercard last April.

"Khabib is now working with a personal trainer and his brother, but the next stage of the preparation he will hold with Roy Jones," said Khabib's promoter Vladimir Hryunov. "Jones is already in their camp and will also be preparing Fedor and Dmitry Chudinov. On September 2, we decided to hold an open workout to demonstrate the readiness of our boxers for their upcoming fights. We invite all comers."
