Roman "Rocky" Martinez (26-1-1, 16 KOs), the former 130-pound champion of the World Boxing Organization, makes it very clear that he will not overlook his scheduled opponent on August 4th. He faces Mexico's Miguel Beltran Jr. (27-1, 17 KOs) in a WBO title eliminator. The event will take place at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
Martinez wants to make a statement. The Puerto Rican boxer has been inactive since a sixth round TKO win over Daniel Attah from last October.
"My preparation is strong. I am working excellently for that victory. Everyone knows that I'm a warrior. I've had 10 months without a fight but I'll give every last drop of sweat to get the win and I want to be world champion again - and I have no doubt [that will happen]," Martinez said.
