Nicaraguan Roman "Chocolatito" González (41-0, 35KOs), the WBC flyweight champion, had a big year with his TKO victory over Japan's Akira Yaegashi to capture his third divisional title. But he is not planning to stop there. Gonzalez has his eyes set on a fourth divisional title in the near future.
Gonzalez wants to go against the upcoming winner of the WBO super flyweight title clash between champion Omar Narvaez and challenger Naoya Inoue, taking place on December 30 in Tokyo. Gonzalez is confident Inoue is going to become the winner.
"My goal is to continue to defend my championship and look for the fourth crown against Naoya Inoue, who I am sure will become world champion on December 30. If he wins, I'm going to go against him at 115 pounds. I want that fight in the future," said Gonzalez.
"The fourth title is what interests me most in 2015. Maybe I can beat Alexis [Arguello] - in titles - but I can never compare myself to him, he is number one. He is a recognized champion, the truth is that Alexis is on another level. That is the truth."
