Roman Gonzalez Targets Ioka-Rodriguez Winner

By Osman Rosales Cruz

The junior flyweight world champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (34-0, 28 KOs), is ready to fight the winner of the upcoming fight between Kazuto Ioka (10-0, 6 KOs) and Jose Alfredo Rodriguez (28-1, 17 KOs), taking place on December 31 in Osaka, Japan.

The WBA made Gonzalez the "super champion" at the weight. Ioka and Rodriguez will battle for the WBA's vacant "regular" title and the winner must face Gonzalez in 90 days.

"I will face anyone. I'm not picking opponents. I would like Ioka to win so I can put him in his place - because I was told that he was doing too much talking and making comments that I was afraid [of him]. I hope to have the opportunity to face him," said

"At the moment I have been resting and enjoying the holidays, but I will return to the gym in January to start my preparation for that fight."

Viloria vs Gonzalez needs to happen next. It needs to be put on a undercard fight on a t.v network like HBO or Showtime. Or PPV undercard would be fine too.

I thought Roman was gunning for Viloria.. well after the dismantling of Tyson Chocolatito probably realized he has no chance against the Hawaiian Punch. Brian should give Milan the beating he's looking for and collect all belts at FLY
