Roman Gonzalez Says World Title Shot Coming in April

By Pablo Fletes, notifight.com

Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (37-0, 31KOs) expects to be involved in a flyweight world title fight on an April date in Japan. Gonzalez must prevail in their fight on February 15, when he faces Mexico's Juan "Wacko" Kantún in Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico.

"I am in very good condition for this fight in Mexico. I'm motivated, I feel good on the weight and I hope to make a good fight on the 15th," said Gonzalez. "I'm not a world champion, but I'm ranked in the four major bodies and that motivates me to work hard to earn that third crown in my career."

"For this fight we worked a lot with the hooks, because the Mexican Kantún is shorter than me. I used the hooks, combining upper cuts and going up. I think that if I do my job right, I should knock him out quick."

"I do not know who I'm fighting in Japan, but it will be a world title fight. But I think that I will win a world title this year."
