Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez enjoyed his debut last year in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he knocked out Mexico's Omar Soto in two rounds. According to Gonzalez, his upcoming defense against former champion Ramon "Prince" Garcia will be delayed by one week, to April 28th, and now takes place in Los Angeles, California, in a co-promotion between Zanfer Promotions and Top Rank Boxing.
"I'm happy because I will fight in America. I still do not know what venue will host the fight, but the important thing is that I am in good condition, and I'm going to leave with my hand raised," Gonzalez said. "The good thing is that fight is now in the United States and almost everyone can watch. There is more interest and that's good for me because I'll continue getting known on American television."
Gonzalez has a record of 31-0 with 26 knockouts, while Garcia comes in at 16-3-1, 9 KOs. This fight was scheduled for April 21 in Morelia, Mexico.
