On Saturday night at the legendary Forum in Los Angeles, California - Nicaraguan boxer Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (42-0, 36KOs) will make the second defense of his flyweight crown of the World Boxing Council (WBC) against Mexico's Edgar Sosa, a former world champion who is very experienced. "Chocolatito" makes his HBO televised debut as the co-feature to Gennady Golovkin's defense of the WBA/IBO middleweight titles against Willie Monroe Jr.

Gonzalez sat ringside on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and watched Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao collide in what was the biggest fight in boxing. He liked the spectacle of the event itself but felt the action in the ring left very little to be desired.

"We all knew that Mayweather was not going to fight at close range. He was going to move as he's done in all of his fights, but I really did not like this fight. Floyd's plan was to move, while Pacquiao had to go around looking for him. But really what happened in there was what we all expected - it was not a great fight," Gonzalez said.

"I was with Mr. Akihiko Honda (international promoter) about five rows back from the ringside. But the event looked good, the assembly was amazing. We enjoyed the fight, it was a special moment be there that night and it was a very nice experience."

Gonzalez hopes to create fireworks when he steps in the ring with Sosa on Saturday.

"Sosa is a very good fighter, very experienced. I'm in excellent physical condition, but I do not know what will happen on May 16. We're in good condition and are doing a good job. Knocking out Sosa will be much better for me, and the sooner I knock him out the better - because people will know me more and it will guarantee that I will fight more often here in America," Gonzalez said.

"Sosa is a complete fighter. He throws combinations well, a fighter who is very experienced and knows how to handle himself well. I think the most important thing is to give a great fight, win, to display my quality."
