With Roman Gonzalez stopping Akira Yaegashi on Friday and Juan Francisco Estrada stopping Giovani Segura on Saturday night, the dreams of fight fans seemed to come true.

The victories over their respective foes would bring about a possible rematch between Gonzalez and Estrada.

The problem is Gonzalez has a possible fight and opponent lined up and it is not against Estrada.

Gonzalez will reportedly fight Luis Concepcion on November 22, it was announced on the Azteca Deportes/ Canal 4 Nicaragua feed that broadcast the Estrada-Segura fight on Saturday night.

No word on the exact location of the fight, but it would reportedly take place somewhere in Japan.

Gonzalez (40-0, 34 KOs) is promoted by Japan-based Teiken Promotions.

The news is a buzzkill for boxing fans who have voiced their opinion on watching a rematch between Gonzalez and Estrada. Both fighters squared off in November of 2012, where Gonzalez won a hard-fought 12 round unanimous decision that numerous boxing scribes considered one of the fights of the year.

Since the loss to Gonzalez, the Mexican-born Estrada (27-2, 20 KOs) has won his last four bouts in a row.

If a fight is finalized between Gonzalez and Concepcion, either Gonzalez would be moving up to the super flyweight limit or Concepcion would drop down one weight class.

In his last bout, Concepcion (32-3, 23 KOs) stopped Duvan Hernandez in the seventh round on August 23, winning a regional super flyweight title.
