Roman Gonzalez Heading Off To Tokyo For Yaegashi

Román "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (39-0, 33KOs) is travelling this Saturday to Tokyo, Japan, for his bar none commitment on September 5th  against Japan's Akira Yaegashi (20-3, 10KOs), who holds the WBC flyweight champion.

Gonzalez seeks his third world crown. Victory would be historic for Nicaraguan boxing, as it'd be right up there with the record of the historic of iconic "Thin Man," Alexis Arguello. The build up to this bust up has been thoroughly explored by Japanese boxing magazine "Beat Boxing" in its latest edition.

Gonzalez has not faced a Japanese world champion since he defeated Yutaka Niida, in September 2008.

Although "Chocolatito" Gonzalez is the odds-on favorite to win, Champion, Yaegashi, has been having an excellent preparation for this fight. He confidently insists that he'll successfully defend the crown.
