By Pablo Fletes, notifight.com

Mexico's Omar Salado has been confirmed as the opponent to face Nicaragua's Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (28-0, 23KOs) on July 9th. Gonzalez makes the second defense of his flyweight crown of the World Boxing Association. The venue in Mexico is not yet known, however, Gonzalez trains with heavy intensity at the Roger Deshon Gym in the neighborhood of San Judas.

"I know the Mexican is a good fighter, very strong," González said. "But the important thing is that I will be in very good condition and ready to win this fight. I hope that I will make another good fight. In Mexico you can win as long as you arrive in good condition, like I showed in my last fight with Chango Vargas Chango."

"Chocolatito" goes through intense sparring two or three times a week. Yesterday he sparred with prospect Felix Alvarado for six intense rounds, four minutes each.

Luego, González quedó trabajando durante largo tiempo, en una demostración del gran interés que tiene por defender con éxito. Then, Gonzalez was working for a long time in a show of great interest is to defend successfully.

Salado, 31 years old, has a record of 23-3-2, with 13 knockouts.
