Roman Gonzalez Dropping The WBA Championship

By Hilmar Rojas

Nicaraguan champion Román “Chocolatico” Gonzalez made official that he is vacating the World Boxing Association light flyweight 'super champion' title.

Chocolatico González sent a letter explaining that this decision obeys to his desire to win a third title belt in the Flyweight division.

González is undefeated after 37 fights with 31 KO’s. In 2008 he won the minimumweight title defeating Yukata Niida by TKO, and in 2010 he won the light flyweight title defeating Francisco Rosas by KO.

It's crazy that they let him keep it even though he's been in flyweight for a while....then again...these guys are crooked. Funny they just said they wanted to give more people shots
