Roman Gonzalez-Donnie Nietes in Talks For September 29

By Pablo Fletes, notifight.com

Nicaraguan star Román "Chocolatito" González (32-0, 27KOs) is ready to for the biggest fight of his career. As previously reported, Gonzalez is slated to appear on the undercard to the flyweight unification between champions Brian Viloria and Hernan "Tyson" Marquez, taking place at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

There are ongoing talks to match Gonzalez against WBO champion Donnie Nietes (30-1-3, 16KOs). If Gonzalez wins this fight, he will likely return in the month of November with a title defense in Japan.

Besides the November fight, there is also the possibility of Gonzalez facing the Viloria-Marquez winner in early 2013.
