Mexico has been a second home for Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (37-0, 31KOs) for the development of his career in professional boxing. And that is exactly where he will return on February 15, in a stay-busy flyweight battle, as he prepares for a match in March in Japan.

The "Chocolatito" and his coach Arnulfo Obando traveled to Tapachula, Mexico, to participate in a press conference organized Zanfer Promotions.

It was learned, Roman could face Mexican Juan "Wacko" Kantún (21-5-3, 15 KOs) or experienced Juan "Churritos" Hernandez (23-3, 16 KOs). The opponent for March has not been confirmed but it could be for a world title.

Is Akira going to take the fight or vacate his WBC belt since Roman is the mandatory? I'd like to see Roman get a crack at his Ring belt as well.

This guy fights a lot of tune ups let me tell you. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Estrada or even Vilora f**k
If he's going to japan for a world title shot at flyweight he'd be fighting Akira Yaegashi for Yaegashi's Ring Magazine/WBC lineal flyweight championship.
I think they're saving him for Ioka's move up. Yaegashi already turned down that fight

Looks like it will be Gonzalez-Yaegashi in March then, that will be a great fight.
