BoxingScene.com has been advised by publicist Fernando Gaztambide that Puerto Rican amateur sensation Emmanuel "Manny" Rodriguez ( 9-0, 5 KO's ) will face Miguel "No Fear" Cartagena ( 13-1, 5 KO's ) of Philadelphia in a 10 round main event bout for the vacant WBO Latino bantamweight title on Saturday, October, 18th at the Cosme Beitia Coliseum in Cataño, Puerto Rico. The event is promoted by Fresh Boxing in association with M/V Power Promotions.

Rodriguez, a former Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Champion, has an impresive victory over former world title challenger, and fellow Boricua David Quijano, who he defeated by unanimous decision in December.

Cartagena sported a 158-13 record in the amateurs and won 4 National Golden Gloves, the AIBA World Games, and was a US National Champion. He received the "Pride of Philadelphia Award" by the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame for his accomplishments.

Rodriguez vs. Cartagena will be televised live on 'DIRECTV Puerto Rico', starting at 9:00pm ( ET ), channel 161.
