Rod Salka: I'll Beat Danny Garcia - No Doubt About It!

By Edward Chaykovsky

"Lightning" Rod Salka (19-3, 3KOs) sees no possible outcome, other than WBC/WBA 140-pound champion Danny Garcia going down. They will fight in a ten round non-title bout on Saturday night from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Salka being a huge underdog is an understatement. The lightweight contender is moving up in weight to take on the best junior welterweight in the division. Garcia has a serious edge in almost every department, but that holds no meaning to the eager Salka.

"He's going to be the bigger guy but that doesn't make any difference to me. I'm going to do what I do and he's going to have to adjust to that. I never listen to the outside noise. If confidence is a problem for you at this level, you're not going to make it very far. I block all of that out and live in the moment and further my career. I'm going to beat the best 140-pounder in the world Saturday night, no doubt about it," Salka said.

Every Salka headline lately sounds like motivational phrases he says to himself in front of the mirror at night but I guess based on Danny's latest effort, he might have good reason to think he has a chance...to win on…

I believe him.
Would this be a greater upset than Douglas-Tyson?
Absolutely. Douglas could punch and Salka can't crack an egg.

What else is Salka gonna say?? I have zero chance ???? He could have chosen his words better than, "I'll beat Danny Garcia No Doubt About It"! LOL.... Okay, calm down Lightning Rod with 3 career KO's. You're starting to…
