Rocky Martinez Reportedly Set To Return on August 4th

The former junior lightweight champion of the WBO, Roman "Rocky" Martinez (25-1-1, 16 KO's) is reportedly going to on August 4th in Guaynabo, as part of the undercard to the comeback of Ivan Calderon (35-2-1 and 6 KO's), who faces WBO 105-pound champion Moises Fuentes (14-1, 6 KO's) of Mexico. The event will be produced by PR Best Boxing Promotions and Zanfer Promotions, and at the Coliseum Mario 'Quijote' Morales.

Martinez lost his championship on September 4, 2010 to Ricky Burns by unanimous decision. He returned on October 1, 2011 and knocked out Daniel Attah in six rounds. Martinez has been waiting and eager to return to the ring.

He is the biggest threat to Uchiyama and Broner and others. He is tall, rangy, hits like a mule, aggressive, and has great stamina. His only real flaw is his defence which hopefully he is working on.

Rocky Martinez is the kind of fighter who needs to be active to be effective, PR best boxing promotions are doing a horrible job with him!!
