By Jesús Gómez Flores,

WBC silver junior welterweight world champion Roberto "Massa" Ortiz (28-0, 22KOs) has arrived to the city of Los Angeles in California, arriving in the United States after accepting a personal invitation from WBC featherweight champion Abner Mares. Ortiz, who returns on June 15th against a yet to be determined opponent in Mexico, is training at the Elite MMA Academy gym with Mares' trainer Clemente Medina.

"I am very happy with this opportunity. For me it's an honor to train with those who have taken a great Mexican champion like Abner Mares to the top. They are very good people who are experienced in different things and they are going to complement me," Ortiz said.

Mares works with Luis Garcia out of that gym for S&C doesn't he? That guy's got a very good reputation. He had Mares in serious shape for the PDL fight.
