Roberto Duran To Support WBA's KO To Drugs, 6/28

Multiple division world champion Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran will attend the World Boxing Association XXIX edition of the KO Drugs Boxing Festival scheduled for Saturday June 28, 2014 at the Sheraton Hotel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The boxer himself confirmed his attendance to the event that will present two world title disputes, male and female, along with a dozen regional championship bouts.

Duran, who is a member of the Boxing Hall of Fame, is another great ally of the WBA social program. The presenter Jimmy Lennon Jr, will also be present during the boxing evening in Dominican Republic.

The Panamanian Duran hung up his gloves in 2001 after a 27-year-boxing career with over a hundred victories, 16 losses and 70 KO's.  Besides that, between 1972 and 1990, he won and defended five world championships in different weight divisions.
