Robert Guerrero Arrested At JFK Airport On Gun Charge

by David P. Greisman

Welterweight contender Robert Guerrero was arrested this morning at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City for allegedly having a gun with him, according to a report by the New York Daily News.

The article cited an anonymous law enforcement source.

“The circumstances surrounding Guerrero’s arrest were not immediately clear,” the article said. “Charges were pending.”

Online court records did not yet show any charges for Guerrero as of about 10:15AM ET on Thursday.

Guerrero, 30, has been in New York promoting his upcoming May 4 pay-per-view fight with Floyd Mayweather.

He last fought in November, when he topped Andre Berto via 12-round decision to raise his record to 31-1-1 with 18 knockouts and 2 “no decisions.”
I always thought Guerrero was a smart person.
There's not much about him to suggest he's smart, just that he's a "nice guy" (compared to many other boxers). The two are different.
