Hall of Fame coaches Freddie Roach, who trains WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, feels WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is very hesitant to accept the challenge of a super-fight on May 2nd.

Roach still feels Mayweather's motivation is to retired undefeated and he refuses to take any risks which would jeopardize that undefeated record. Roach is still confused as to why Mayweather made a decision to face Marcos Maidana in back to back fights in 2014.

"I think it would be a great Christmas present to the whole world. I think he is just a little bit afraid to take a challenge like Manny. He is so in love with that zero on that record," Roach told HBO's The Fight Game.

"That's the thing with boxing, if you are champion of the world you fight everybody, you don't duck anybody and you fight all comers. If he retires not fighting Manny, that will be a big question when he's asked for things. I think that will ruin his legacy."

"He picks his own opponents. He fought the same guy twice. The first fight was kind of boring and I fell asleep during it. Why in the world did they do a second one? There is no sense in that."
