Roach Says Plan in Place For Sergio Martinez's Speed

Legendary Trainer Freddie Roach confirms that  Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31KOs) can count on the invaluable help and experience of Manny Pacquiao in the build up to his fight against Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs).

“He will be training two weeks with Pacquiao. They're  good friends so there won’t be problems with anything. We will train one week in Los Angeles and the last part with Manny in Vegas, "Roach said.

Pacquiao will fight against Tim Bradley on April 12th and Cotto will face Martinez at middleweight on June 7th.

About the weight at which Cotto will fight:

“We will be focused on creating more muscle in Miguel. Sergio is a very talented fighter but I have the right plan to override his speed” Freddie intriguingly explained.

If the cotto that fought floyd and delvin shows up vs the serg that fought murray, i like cotto's chances.... But if its the serg that fought chavez, then cotto is getting schooled no matter what version of cotto shows…

If Cotto couldn't beat Trout, why do people think he can beat Martinez? Martinez is a much better fighter than Trout.

I like Cotto but he is getting knocked out. No "ifs" "and" or "buts". Martinez is going to stop him by the 6th round.
