Trainer Freddie Roach is planning to urge Manny Pacquiao to knock Juan Manuel Marquez out on November 12. Speaking with OnTheGrind Boxing Radio, Roach discussed his unhappiness with Pacquiao's lack of killer instinct in his last couple of performances. He feels Pacquiao is being too compassionate to his opponents.
Because of the controversy involved with the first two bouts involving Pacquiao and Marquez, Roach wants a knockout victory in the third meeting. They went to controversial twelve round draw in 2004, and then Pacquiao won a close twelve round split decision in 2008.
"I can't wait for this fight, for Manny to finally shut them up and show that they were not robbed the first two times. He does know how to fight Manny Pacquiao. He's a very smart fighter. I sometimes wonder if he has our number, but Manny has come a long way since the last fight. He's a more complete fighter," Roach said.
"I know the guy will be very game, but I think this time Manny will be way too strong for him. I'm going to urge Manny to put the pressure on this guy and get him out of there so there is no doubt."
