Trainer Freddie Roach believes unbeaten British champion David Price (13-0, 11KOs) is the best up and coming heavyweight in the game. Standing at 6'8 and consistently showcasing a solid combination of boxing ability and one-punch power - Roach expects Price to eventually become a serious threat to the Klitschko brothers, Wladimir and Vitali.
"Price has the size [to give the Klitschko brothers trouble], but he's still young," Roach told BoxingScene.com.
Another up and coming unbeaten British heavyweight, Tyson Fury (19-0, 14KOs), is also getting a lot of attention and his name is often mentioned as a possible future opponent for both Klitschko brothers.
However, Roach considers Price to be a much better fighter than the 6'9 Fury.
"Price is a much better fighter than Tyson Fury at this point. He's not mechanical like Tyson Fury, so I like Price a little bit better. Again, at heavyweight one punch can change everything. That's the one thing about [Wladimir] Klitschko, he can knock you out with one punch. He can punch when he wants to," Roach said.
Price is going to face Olympic gold medal winner Audley Harrison on October 13th at the ECHO Arena in Liverpool.
