The next couple of months could become a very busy time for veteran trainer Freddie Roach.

There are ongoing negotiations for a fight between Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., and there are also ongoing negotiations for a fight between Cotto and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

If both of those pay-per-view fights get made, it is believed that one of the two fights will take place on the Cinco De Mayo date of May 2nd, with the other fight taking place on a date in June.

In the past, when Roach would have several boxers scheduled for fights around the same time period, he would hold joint training camps. Not this time. If the fights involving Pacquiao and Cotto get made, then Roach plans to completely separate their training camps and he also intends to keep both fighters away from each other.

"I would train them separately. I would just run two separate camps and keep them away from each other.  Even though they are friends and like each other and so forth.....there is still that competitive edge in fighters and so forth...so they both deserve their own time," Roach told BoxingScene.com.
