Trainer Freddie Roach is very pleased with Manny Pacquiao fighting Juan Manuel Marquez for a third time on November 12 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He likes this fight much better than a potential bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Roach is very nervous about the fight because of the difficult nature that Pacquiao had in the two previous meetings. Pacquiao's first meeting with Marquez was a close twelve draw and the second bout won by Pacquiao was a controversial twelve round split decision.
“It’s the fight I want. It’s the one we were asking for cause we want to shut them up and to prove they never get robbed,” Freddie Roach was quoted by Boxeo Editores. “I know Manny Pacquiao has came along in weight and he is a much more complete fighter now than he was back then. This is not an easy fight. I’m a little nervous by the fight, yes, but I love this fight better than Mayweather.”
