Rivalta: Pabon Did Fine Job in Guzman-Khabib Bout

Acquinity Sports promoter Henry Rivalta is giving his full support to referee Luis Pabon for his work in last Friday's Joan Guzman-Khabib Allakhverdiev junior welterweight clash at the BBB&T Center in Florida.

Rivalta stated - “He did a great job. We are convinced that Mr. Pabon was the best choice to be the third man in the ring, and we don’t have a single complaint about him.”

He wanted to make his statement known, as there are growin complaints in the media regarding Pabon's officiating in the fight. Khabib unified the WBA/IBO titles with an eight round technical split decision after Guzman injured his left knee and was unable to continue. It was the first defeat for Guzman in his long career.
