| Rigondeaux vs Marroquin in Play For Chavez-Martinez
By Ryan Burton BoxingScene.com has been advised that a super bantamweight clash between WBA champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (10-0) and prospect Robert Marroquin (22-1) is being negotiated for the September 15th Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. versus Sergio Martinez HBO pay-per-view televised undercard. Rigondeaux destroyed Teon Kennedy in his most recent fight, knocking him down five times in route to a fifth round knockout on the Manny Pacquiao-Tim Bradley undercard on June 9 in Las Vegas. Marroquin last fought on the June 16th Julio Cesar Chavez Jr-Andy Lee undercard in Texas. He dispatched Arturo Santiago in two rounds. However, Rigondeaux vs. Marroquin taking place on the September card is not set in stone. There is also a chance the fight could land on HBO on October 6th. The show is hosted by Ernie Gabion, Luis Sandoval and Ryan Burton Tags: Guillermo Rigondeaux , Roberto Marroquin |
Can't find any of Marroquin's fights, hope he puts up a decent fight so Rigo can get some rounds in.
Some people say he's tough but they also say he's wild. |
