Rigondeaux: Arum Made Huge Mistake, Loma is Going Down!

By Elisinio Castillo

WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs) is planning to do a real number on Vasyl Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs).

Rigondeaux is moving up by two weight divisions to challenge Lomachenko for his WBO super featherweight world title.

The ESPN televised main event takes place on December 9 at the Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Several years ago, Rigondeaux was promoted by Bob Arum of Top Rank - who currently guide the career of Lomachenko.

They parted ways, in a very heated manner, not that long after Rigondeaux dominated Nonito Donaire in 2013.

At that time Donaire was one of Top Rank's star fighters and he was viewed as the next superstar of Arum's stable.

Rigondeaux believes the job he does on Lomachenko will be a huge shot to Arum and his company.

"It's going to be a tremendous blow, I do not know how [Bob Arum] let Lomachenko face me, he thinks Lomachenko can beat me, but he's made a huge mistake, he does not know that he's going down like Nonito too," Rigondeaux told George Ebro.

"I tell you that we are even [physically]. For the time being it is a secret, but let them see the day of the weigh-in. People will be surprised, I have not paid so much attention to these physical issues, it is my responsibility to prepare my skills and in that respect I am superior.

"There is no other fighter on this planet who is looking for fights and people are running away. And if by beating Nonito everyone got scared, imagine what can happen when I beat Lomachenko. Names don't mean anything anymore and prizes mean nothing over what happens in the ring. On December 9 we will see who speaks the most and when I beat Lomachenko -  let's see what [the critics] invent then, because everything happens to me."

[QUOTE=chrisJS;18258895]Fake news. In fact he's more likely to be fighting Omar Figueroa at 140 and that's out his of his brothers mouth. If Loma fought Figueroa you'd tear him apart for it and you know it. If he fought the…
