Ricky Hatton was very worried when his younger brother, Matthew Hatton (41-4-2, 16 KOs) signed a contract to fight unbeaten Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (35-0-1, 26 KOs). The fight happens later tonight at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Matthew has tasted waters above the welterweight division in the past. Alvarez has a decent punch and he's more built for 154-pounds. The boxers agreed to meet in the middle, at a catch-weight of 150-pounds.

On Friday, Alvarez failed to honor his end of the agreement. He weighed in at 151.4 on his second attempt. The fight moves forward after a further agreement was reached behind closed doors. Hatton will receive $35,000 from Alvarez's purse.

After Ricky watched how hard his younger brother has prepared for the fight, he's no longer worried. The boxers are fighting for the vacant WBC junior middleweight title.

"In a beginning it worried me because my brother was going to fight a strong contender like Canelo, but after watching the way he's prepared, I'm not worried anymore. Matthew never takes a step back. The belt is going back to my country," Ricky Hatton said.
