Ricky Burns hopes to serve up more thrilling fights in Scotland as he prepares to return to the ring on May 11.
Burns has been absent from the ring since September after two fights fell through, but has linked up with new promoter Eddie Hearn and will be back in action against an unnamed opponent in his home country.
In his last fight, Burns delighted his fans with an explosive knockout win over British rival Kevin Mitchell in Glasgow and the Coatbridge man is hungry for more big-name battles on his own patch.
Burns told Skysports.com: "When I first spoke to Eddie Hearn, he saw the support I had in my last fight in Glasgow against Kevin Mitchell, he wants to build on that.
"There is talk about these big unification fights, (Miguel) Vazquez, Adrien Broner. He wants to build my profile up in Scotland and possibly bring one of these over to Glasgow.
"Home support for a big fight like that would play in my favour. If we can get another couple of fights over here, against good opponents. I want to be in proper 50-50 fights and Eddie Hearn knows that as well.
"I'm excited about what he wants to do, get these big fights in Glasgow."
Burns could be asked to defend his WBO lightweight belt against mandatory challenger Jose Gonzalez, but IBF champion Miguel Vazquez might be back in the running as a possible opponent.
Vazquez pulled out of a unification clash, scheduled for this month, but Burns hinted that he could finally get to face the Mexican in his next fight.
"I've heard they have narrowed it down to three opponents, my mandatory is Jose Gonzalez from Puerto Rico. He 22 undefeated with 17 knockouts. I had a look at him on Youtube and he looks a big puncher.
"I think the WBO are trying to insist I fight him next. I've heard it went to purse bids.
"I know they are in talks, but there are another two names that are being mentioned. Vazquez is still in the picture. His name was mentioned to me that's all I'm saying."
Adrien Broner has also been linked with a fight against Burns and the WBC king reiterated his interest in the showdown after halting the brave Gavin Rees in five rounds last month.
Burns has admitted that talks have begun about a fight with the American later in the year.
"There's still talk about this fight happening," he said. "When I was speaking to Eddie he said his team have actually been in touch to see about it. Would I be interested in it.
"Eddie's said my next fight is definitely in Glasgow. But it's a possibility for later on in the year."Tags: Miguel Vazquez , Jose Gonzalez , Ricky Burns
