| Ricky Burns Will Hit Norway To Spar With Evensen
By Per Ake Persson WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns (35-2, 10KOs) will head for the north of Norway during January and it΄s not a vacation trip. Burns, along with former British champion John Simpson, will spend a week in Melhus and spar with Andreas Evensen (17-2-1, 6KOs). Evensen is in training to take on EBU featherweight champ Alex Miskirtchian on February 9 in Esbjerg, Denmark. Burns beat Evensen on a wide points win during his stint as WBO jr. lightweight champion in 2010 and the two teams got along well and will now collaborate.

Ricky Burns is going into the damn mountains to run from Broner. It takes a dedicated duck job to do this kind of running. |
