Paul Appleby says working with Ricky Burns has taken his boxing to a higher lever.
The young Scot suffered a shock defeat in December to future Burns victim Joseph Laryea.
He has returned to action since then with a confidence-boosting win.
But more importantly, Appleby has also switched to Burns' camp and teamed up with trainer Billy Nelson.
"I feel great about boxing again," said Appleby.
"Working with Ricky has improved me no end.
"He is an inspirational figure in the ring and in the gym. Just watching what he does is a great help.
"He has taking my boxing to a different level. We've sparred a lot of rounds together and they are tougher than having a proper fight.
"With Ricky's help, I'm hoping I can get back to title contention before too long."
