Rey Vargas Returns on March 15th in Los Cabos

By Miguel Rivera

Mexico's undefeated Rey Vargas (18-0, 15 KOs) will return to action on the 15th of March in Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico - as the headliner of a card being televised by Televisa Deportes. The lanky puncher will look to extend his streak as he defends his bantamweight youth championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

Vargas was mentioned as an opponent for Chris Avalos on TV Azteca, but Vargas' promoter says that is "totally false."

"I feel strong and highly motivated with everything that is happening in my career. I've been training hard because I have big dreams to fulfill, but first I have to make clear that I have the ability to reach those heights and conquer great achievements for all Mexicans," said Vargas.
